Dimgogo Camping Light Review: A Tripod Lantern That Doubles as a Flashlight
A camping lantern on a 7-foot tripod that splits into three aimable lights, then folds up into a flashlight. It's one of the most versatile lights we've tried.

Every campsite has the same problem once the sun goes down. The headlamp lights up whatever you're looking at and nothing else, the little lantern on the picnic table throws shadows everywhere, and somebody always ends up holding a phone flashlight over the camp stove. What you really want is light from above, aimed where you need it.
That's the idea behind the Dimgogo Rechargeable Camping Light with Stand. It's a battery-powered LED lantern that sits on a telescoping tripod, unfolds into three adjustable light panels and folds back up into a flashlight. It's built for camping, but it's just as at home in a garage, a backyard or a closet waiting for the next power outage.

What You Get
According to Dimgogo's Amazon listing, the light includes:
- A 15,000mAh rechargeable battery, rated for up to 25 hours on the lowest setting
- Three LED heads that rotate 180 degrees vertically and 270 degrees horizontally
- A detachable tripod that extends from about 31 inches to nearly 86 inches (just over 7 feet)
- Magnetic bases and a built-in hook, so you can stick it to metal or hang it in a tent
- White (6500K), warm white (4500K) and warm (3500K) light, plus a flashlight mode and an SOS strobe
- Three brightness levels for each of the four steady modes, and a memory function that remembers your last setting
- USB-C charging (about 5 hours to full), and it doubles as a power bank for your phone
- A weight of about 3.3 pounds
Dimgogo rates it at 5,500 lumens.
The Tripod Is the Star
The tripod is the best part. Being able to raise or lower the light depending on what you're doing makes a bigger difference than you'd expect. Keep it low when you're working at a table or cooking, then extend it all the way up to light the whole campsite without blinding anyone.

Height also helps cut down on shadows. Light from seven feet up spreads out much more evenly than light from a lantern sitting at elbow level. Dimgogo claims coverage of up to 12,916 square feet. We can't vouch for that number, but this is a light meant for an area, not a spot.
The tripod also detaches, and Dimgogo lists magnetic bases and a built-in hook as other ways to mount it. If you don't want to set up the stand, you can hang it from a tent loop or, the company says, stick it to metal under the hood of a car.
Three Lights or One Flashlight
The other standout feature is how the lantern changes shape. Fold the three panels up and out, and you get three separate lights you can aim in different directions: one at the table, one at the tent and one toward the trail. Fold them back down, and the body turns into a big flashlight, using the light on top.

That versatility is the real selling point. You don't have to pack a separate lantern and flashlight, because this does both, depending on what you're doing and how much light you need. That's useful at camp and handy anywhere outside after dark.
The Battery Does Double Duty
A 15,000mAh battery is big for a light. Dimgogo says it lasts up to 25 hours on low, though runtime will drop a lot at full brightness with all three panels going. The bonus is that the same battery can charge your phone, which is genuinely useful on a camping trip or during an outage. If you're curious how it stacks up against a dedicated battery pack, our mobile charger buying guide explains what to look for.
The trade-off is charging time. Dimgogo puts a full charge at about 5 hours, so top it off the night before you leave rather than the morning of.
A Few Things to Know
At roughly 3.3 pounds with the stand, it's light enough to toss in the car but not something you'd carry on a backpacking trip. It's a car-camping, garage and emergency-kit light.
The listing calls it waterproof, but we didn't find a specific water-resistance rating, so don't leave it out in a downpour.
Price and Availability
At this writing, the Dimgogo Rechargeable Camping Light sells for $59.99 at Amazon in orange. It also comes in black and blue for about the same price. Camping gear goes on sale often, especially around the holidays, so it may be worth setting up Amazon price drop alerts before you buy.
Dimgogo Rechargeable Camping Light with Stand
PROS:
- Adjustable tripod raises the light to just over 7 feet
- Unfolds into three aimable lights or folds into a flashlight
- Three color temperatures plus SOS mode
- Big battery that can also charge your phone
- Magnets and a hook for mounting without the stand
CONS:
- About 5 hours to fully charge
- Too heavy for backpacking
- Coverage and lumen claims are hard to verify
💡 VERDICT: The Dimgogo is a seriously versatile light for camping, power outages and the garage. The height-adjustable tripod and fold-out panels make it far more useful than a basic lantern.
