Dollar General 9/29: 6 Scenarios, From $6

Six Dollar General coupon scenarios from $6.00 for seven items. Use the bonus $5 off $25 September 28–October 2, or the separate October 3 coupon. Includes Instant Savings threshold checks and the corrected $13.40 Food Scenario.

Dollar General has a bonus chance to save this week: a $5 off $25 digital coupon for Monday, September 28, through Friday, October 2, followed by a separate coupon for Saturday, October 3. These six baskets start at seven personal-care items for $6.00, with household and food options if those fit your list better.

Unlike last week's Saturday-only offer, the supplied Dollar General breakdown lists both weekday and Saturday shopping windows. Check the dates and availability on the coupons in your own DG account before buying.

Before You Shop

Two separate store-coupon windows: The bonus weekday coupon is for September 28–October 2, and the Saturday coupon is for October 3. The weekday coupon is one use during that window, not a new $5 discount each day.
Instant Savings comes off first: Four baskets use $5 off $15 in qualifying Colgate/Palmolive-company products. Those baskets must reach at least $30 before that $5 discount so at least $25 remains for the $5 off $25 coupon.
Manufacturer coupons come after the threshold check: The qualifying subtotal needs to be $25 after store discounts, not $25 after manufacturer coupons.
Choose your baskets carefully: Product coupons are one-time-use too. A fresh Saturday store coupon does not restore manufacturer coupons you already redeemed during the week.
Scan exact products: Match sizes, varieties, and quantities to the coupons and rebates in your account. The source's Instant Savings offer covers qualifying products within the Colgate/Palmolive family, but not every item should be assumed eligible.
Check local prices: Neither personal-care basket has a cushion above $25 after Instant Savings. If your qualifying subtotal is lower, add an eligible item and recalculate the final price.

Household 3 and Food include Ibotta rebates, so their net costs are lower than what you pay at checkout. The other four baskets reach their final totals entirely through store discounts and coupons.

Scenario Comparison

Pick the basket that matches your shopping list and available coupons. The savings percentages use the listed item totals before the explicit Instant Savings or fruit-snack promotion; no additional original shelf-price savings are assumed.

These are alternative baskets, not one combined haul. Their overlapping one-time coupons mean you should not assume you can purchase all six at the listed totals.

Where the Savings Come From

This comparison keeps each basket separate so repeated coupons are not mistaken for additional savings available to one shopper. A dash means that type of discount is not used in the scenario.

Apps and Coupons You'll Need

Dollar General account: Clip the store coupon for your shopping day and all matching product coupons. Check one-time-use restrictions, product eligibility, and the dates shown on each offer.
Ibotta: Household 3 uses $4.00 back on two Glade packages. Food uses $5.25 total across Betty Crocker, Oscar Mayer, and Turtles.
WK Kellogg printables: The Food Scenario uses two $1-off-2 cereal coupons on four qualifying boxes. Confirm you can print and use two valid coupons before planning on the full $2 discount.

Rebate availability can vary by account and may change during the shopping window. Add offers before purchasing, check redemption limits and restrictions, and keep your receipt until the rebates are approved.

New to Dollar General Coupon Stacking?

Choose one scenario and check that every coupon is still available in your account.
Clip the weekday $5 off $25 for a September 28–October 2 purchase, or the separate Saturday coupon for October 3.
Scan each exact item in the DG app to confirm its coupon match and local price.
Subtract store promotions first. For Instant Savings baskets, confirm both $15 in eligible brand-family products and at least $25 remaining in the whole basket after the $5 discount.
Check the discounts at the register before paying. Off-two coupons give one discount on the pair, not the stated amount off each item.
For Household 3 or Food, submit the receipt to Ibotta within the offer's deadline and verify the approved rebates.

Tips for This Week

Protect the personal-care threshold: Both baskets are exactly $25 after Instant Savings. They need no filler at the listed prices, but any lower qualifying subtotal needs an adjustment.
Keep the two Snuggle options straight: Household 1 uses liquid fabric softener; Household 3 uses Scent Shakes. Verify each exact product matches its offer.
Budget for checkout, not just net: Household 3 requires $12.10 plus tax up front; Food requires $18.65 plus tax.
Read any receipt coupon: A printed $5 off $25 coupon may provide another opportunity only if you receive one and meet its terms. It does not replenish redeemed manufacturer coupons.
Count purchased packages: An eight-count Glade package is one item in the per-item averages, not eight individual melts.
