Deal Summary
These are alternative shopping scenarios, not one combined haul. Checkout totals exclude tax, and rebate-adjusted totals assume the listed Ibotta offers are available and approved.

Before You Shop
- Clip the correct store coupon: Use the November 2–6 coupon for a qualifying weekday trip or the separate November 7 coupon on Saturday. These are not two $5 discounts to apply to the same basket.
- Keep the qualifying subtotal at $25: Calculate it after sale prices and store promotions, including the free item in the buy-two-get-one-free deal, but before the listed manufacturer coupons. The best-value and food baskets land exactly at $25, so check local prices carefully.
- Check coupon eligibility: Dollar General allows a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon on an item when the offers permit it, but not two manufacturer coupons on the same item (DG coupon policy).
- Plan around one-time coupons: A fresh Saturday store coupon does not restore manufacturer coupons already used on a weekday trip. Several baskets share Gold Bond, Colgate, Suavitel, Ajax, or Palmolive offers, so do not assume you can complete both unchanged.
- Check printed offers separately: If your receipt prints another $5 off $25 coupon, read its dates and restrictions. It does not make previously redeemed manufacturer coupons available again.
- Activate Ibotta first: Check the retailer, barcode, quantity, deadline, and stacking terms in Ibotta before buying. Rebates come later, not off your register total.
- Verify the register total: Add your coupons to your myDG Wallet and enter the associated phone number before completing checkout (DG digital coupon terms).
Best-Value Basket: Eight Products for $4.50
This basket combines toothpaste, hand cream, and cleaning products with the buy-two-get-one-free promotion. The calculation assumes the qualifying Suavitel and two Ajax products trigger one $4 Ajax free.
| Buy | Shelf-Price Total | Digital Manufacturer Coupon |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Gold Bond Hand Cream, 3 oz | $4.50 | $3.50 off 1 |
| 3 Colgate Max Fresh Toothpastes at $3.25 each | $9.75 | $7 off 3 |
| 1 Suavitel Fabric Softener, 46 oz | $4.00 | $2 off 1 |
| 2 Ajax Dish Soaps, 52 oz, at $4 each | $8.00 | $1.50 off 1 paid bottle |
| 1 qualifying Palmolive Dish Soap | $2.75 | $1.50 off 1 |
- Before the free-item promotion: $29.00.
- Buy-two-get-one-free discount: Subtract $4.00 for one Ajax.
- Qualifying subtotal: $25.00.
- Store coupon: Subtract $5 off $25.
- Manufacturer coupons: Subtract $15.50.
- Pay: $4.50 before tax, about $0.56 per product.
The free Ajax contributes $0 toward the $25 threshold, and the $1.50 Ajax coupon is counted only once on the paid bottle. Confirm that the selected products trigger the intended promotion and coupons before paying.
Household Basket: Eight Products for $12.25
This option adds Febreze and two packages of Scott bath tissue. It uses the same $4 free-Ajax promotion, deducted once from the full basket.
| Buy | Shelf-Price Total | Digital Manufacturer Coupon |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Suavitel Fabric Softener, 46 oz | $4.00 | $2 off 1 |
| 2 Ajax Dish Soaps, 52 oz, at $4 each | $8.00 | $1.50 off 1 paid bottle |
| 1 qualifying Palmolive Dish Soap | $2.75 | $1.50 off 1 |
| 2 Febreze Sprays or Bathroom Fresheners at $3.50 each | $7.00 | $3.50 off 2 |
| 2 Scott Comfort Plus Bath Tissue packages, 12 rolls each | $8.00 for 2 | None included |
- Before the free-item promotion: $29.75.
- Buy-two-get-one-free discount: Subtract $4.00 for one Ajax.
- Qualifying subtotal: $25.75.
- Store coupon: Subtract $5 off $25.
- Manufacturer coupons: Subtract $8.50.
- Pay: $12.25 before tax, about $1.53 per product.
The post-promotion subtotal is $25.75, keeping this basket $0.75 above the $25 requirement at the listed prices. No additional rebate is included in this basket.
Personal Care Options
Choose between the Suave basket with an Ibotta rebate and the Axe basket with coupons only. Both include the same Gold Bond coupon, so treat them as alternatives unless you independently have all required offers available.
Suave Basket: Eight Products for $6.25 After Ibotta
| Buy | Price | Digital Manufacturer Coupon |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Gold Bond Hand Cream, 3 oz | $4.50 | $3.50 off 1 |
| 3 Colgate Max Fresh Toothpastes at $3.25 each | $9.75 | $7 off 3 |
| 3 qualifying Suave Shampoos, Conditioners, or Body Washes at $3 each | $9.00 | None used |
| 1 Robitussin Cough + Congestion Capsules, 10 count | $5.00 | $2.50 off 1 |
- Subtotal: $28.25.
- Store coupon: Subtract $5 off $25.
- Manufacturer coupons: Subtract $13.00.
- Pay at checkout: $10.25 before tax.
- Ibotta: Submit the $4-back-on-three Suave offer.
- Final net: $6.25 before tax, about $0.78 per product.
Do not use the separate $2 off $6 Suave coupon in this scenario; the basket is built without it to preserve the intended store-coupon and rebate setup. Check that all three selected Suave products qualify for the same buy-three Ibotta offer.
Axe Basket: Five Products for $6.50
| Buy | Price | Digital Manufacturer Coupon |
|---|---|---|
| 2 Axe Hair Styling Gels, 5 oz, at $5 each | $10.00 | $5 off 2 |
| 2 qualifying Axe Deodorant Sticks at $5.75 each | $11.50 | $6 off 2 |
| 1 Gold Bond Hand Cream, 3 oz | $4.50 | $3.50 off 1 |
- Subtotal: $26.00.
- Store coupon: Subtract $5 off $25.
- Manufacturer coupons: Subtract $14.50.
- Pay: $6.50 before tax, or $1.30 per product.
No rebate submission is included in this total. Make sure both Axe coupons are available and match the exact products you select.
Food Basket: Twelve Products for $10.78 After Ibotta
This basket combines cereal, stuffing, lunchmeat, and baking items, plus a $0.50 Kool-Aid packet to reach $25. The Stove Top rebate is limited in availability, so confirm it before building the entire transaction around the $10.78 net.
| Buy | Price | Coupon or Rebate |
|---|---|---|
| 4 qualifying General Mills Cereals | $8.00 for 4 | $1 off 2 digital on two boxes; $1 Ibotta on the other two |
| 2 qualifying Stove Top Stuffings, 6 oz | $4.00 for 2 | $3.22 Ibotta on 1 box only |
| 1 C4 Energy Drink | $2.75 | $1.50 digital |
| 1 qualifying Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh Lunchmeat | $4.50 | $1.50 Ibotta |
| 2 qualifying Betty Crocker Frostings plus 1 qualifying Cake Mix | $3.50 for the frostings + $1.75 cake mix = $5.25 | $1 Ibotta on 3 |
| 1 Kool-Aid Packet | $0.50 | No separate coupon or rebate |
- Subtotal: $25.00.
- Store coupon: Subtract $5 off $25.
- Manufacturer coupons: Subtract $2.50.
- Pay at checkout: $17.50 before tax.
- Ibotta rebates: $1 cereal + $3.22 Stove Top + $1.50 Oscar Mayer + $1 Betty Crocker = $6.72.
- Final net: $10.78 before tax, about $0.90 per product across all 12 items.
Keep the Cereal Coupon and Rebate on Separate Boxes
Buy four eligible cereal boxes: apply the $1-off-two digital coupon to two boxes and claim the $1-on-two Ibotta rebate on the other two. This calculation does not apply both a manufacturer coupon and the rebate to the same boxes.
Check the offer terms and receipt allocation before submitting the rebate. The $5 off $25 store coupon is accounted for separately in the basket math.
Check the Stuffing and Baking Offers
The food calculation includes one $3.22 Stove Top rebate, even though you purchase two boxes. If that offer is unavailable, the same basket would net $14.00 after the remaining $3.50 in Ibotta rebates, rather than $10.78.
For the baking offer, this version uses two frostings and one cake mix, three qualifying items totaling $5.25. Do not drop one of the three items and expect the same buy-three rebate or basket subtotal.
The Kool-Aid packet costs $0.50 and is included in both the subtotal and 12-product count. It fills the gap from $24.50 to $25; it is not a separate free-item offer.
Quick Checkout Checklist
- Choose one scenario with coupons you have not already used.
- Clip the $5 off $25 coupon for the correct date and the listed manufacturer coupons.
- Activate any Ibotta offers and verify the exact items.
- Check local shelf prices and promotional eligibility.
- Make sure the subtotal remains at least $25 after store discounts.
- Enter your myDG phone number and review the discounts before paying.
- Save the receipt and submit eligible rebates within their deadlines.
All final prices are before tax and depend on the listed prices, promotions, and coupons applying. If something changes, recalculate the basket instead of assuming the same net price will hold.
